Magic Kingdom - Frontierland - Golden Oak Outpost

Golden Oak Outpost is a quick service restaurant offering lunch and dinner options at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. It is located in Frontierland, near Splash Mountain. They do not accept reservations, but they do participate in the Disney Dining Plan. This is an outdoor service window dining location without dedicated seating options. Nearby tables and benches supply areas for a quick snack stop.

Quick service restaurants at Disney may have an original menu item or theme that vary by location, but certain facts are generally reliable to count on wherever you dine. For starters, the french fries are the same all across the resort, and they're just okay. If you want to improve them, look for restaurants that have a cheese or ranch sauce, or something similar to top or dip in. Another standard - you can expect to rub elbows with your neighboring park guest when seated. Disney has made it a point to cram every last seat into their dining establishments that they can manage.

Service window dining locations do offer limited menu selections, but they're a stellar option for those simply seeking quick fuel to maintain their stride through the parks without all the fanfare and hoopla. Golden Oak's menu options include chicken nuggets or a chicken sandwich, corn nuggets, fries, carrot or chocolate cake, cookies and drinks.  Meals will run around $7-$10 per  guest (before drink or dessert).

*TOP PICK - The corn nuggets are a welcome recent addition to the Golden Oak menu. Topped with a dusting of powdered sugar, they are a warm, sweet ball of YUM! An authentic southern delight for just $4! Unfortunately, they do not seem to be a constant on the menu. If you don't see them listed, it doesn't hurt to ask about where/when to find them.
