CoCo Key Water Resort - More Than Meets the Eye

You've probably seen the front of it as you cruise Orlando's I-Drive... or the alluring water park that occupies the back of it as you traverse I-4, but until you've seen what makes up the space in-between, you don't know CoCo Key Water Resort!

This wonderland of amusement and comfort is an all-inclusive paradise, nestled rather deceptively in the tourist corridor. It's undeniably eye-catching and intriguing, but CoCo Key is easy to underestimate from a mere pass-by. This expansive property holds so much more than you expect upon a first glance. In fact, it may represent the most brilliant use of space among I-Drive's numerous resort hotels. Instead of occupying prime real estate with needless lengths of driveways and masses of overly manicured greenery, CoCo Key focuses on giving guests ample room for a fun, memorable getaway, full of options and true value.
Let's take a look at what CoCo Key has to offer - starting with 391 guest rooms, where 'options' reign supreme! CoCo Key offers both interior and exterior rooms, some of which overlook the pools and water park. Whether your goal is a relaxing retreat or being right in the middle of the action, CoCo Key has the perfect room for you.
Room styles are plentiful as well! Choose from two beds, 'Deluxe King' with pull-out sleeper sofa, studios, and family rooms - each with a 37" flat-screen television. Featuring vibrant decor and vivid color, these rooms define 'inviting'. What a perfect example of accommodating accommodations!
Dining options are also plentiful at CoCo Key. Although there are many restaurants and bars lining I-Drive, you can easily eat, drink, and be merry without ever leaving the resort, and still receive a variety of food choices and dining experiences.
Tradewinds Restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. The dinner menu offers appetizers, soups, salads, seafood, Black Angus burgers, sandwiches, steaks, and more. All items are very reasonably priced - with the most expensive choices staying below the $20 mark. CoCo Family Feasts are meals designed with a family of four in mind, including entrees and complementary sides. Choose from 'The Country Cookout' ($35) or 'The Italian' ($29).
Callaloo Grille is casual, quick-serve, offering pasta, Pizza Hut pizza, sandwiches, and other grab-and-go snacks from 11am - 10pm. Aside from the full pizzas, everything is under $10! The poolside Wet Rooster Tiki Bar is another option for signature cocktails and quick snacks. Everything on their menu is also $10 or less. Can't beat prices like these! Anything else you may need or crave during your stay can most likely be found at the on-site convenience store. CoCo Key truly is a one-stop shop for your Orlando vacation!
Of course, you'll also find all of the standard on-site resort amenities, but they are unusually spacious - a cut above the area norm: fitness center, business center, 5,000 square feet of conference/ meeting space, party rooms, and a 6,500 square foot arcade! Daily resort activities provide unique fun, and personally created souvenirs. Just a few of the activities highlights from this week's calendar - create your own sundae/ cookies/ pizza, sand art, bubble art, scavenger hunt, poolside games, and sports/ game tournaments! As someone who has a special appreciation of resort events, these are the most enticing activities I have encountered on my many Orlando staycations!
Of course, the highlight of a CoCo Key stay is the boundless opportunity for water play! For those seeking some pool time, but not quite wanting the water park experience, there is a pool near the front of the resort, with poolside cabanas. A nice touch - this pool is in a very familiar tri-circle shape. Want to take a guess at what this pays tribute to? Hint - it's a highly recognizable Orlando icon!
For those wishing to partake in splashing, sliding, slippery adventures, check out CoCo Key's most unique amenity - the 54,000 square foot water park!
14 slides and rides make up this exceptionally inclusive water park, which is partially outdoors, and partially covered under a canopy. There's something for everyone here, from the tiniest water babies, to adult thrill-seekers. The best part is - water park access is included in your $24 (plus tax) daily, per-room resort fee! Water park guests not staying at CoCo Key can enjoy access for under $30! Don't forget to ask about the Florida resident discount.
Last, but certainly not least, they have an adorably irresistible mascot! Meet CoCo... (you have to admit - this seals the deal)
There's no limit to the amusement at CoCo Key Water Resort! For a closer look at this incredible I-Drive gem, enjoy this video tour, or visit CoCo Key's home on the Web! For a few more photos from our collection, click here.
