Family Fun at Terror On the Lake in Clermont

Maybe you're looking for seasonal entertainment a little closer to home, or perhaps you have younger children. If you're looking for a fun, mild community event to celebrate Halloween, you may want to consider Terror On the Lake in Clermont. Located next to the Cagan Community Library on US 27, Terror On the Lake is a simple, affordable option for the whole family.

Terror on the Lake consists of a pumpkin patch (with a diverse assortment of pumpkins available for purchase), a few carnival games, outdoor movies on the lawn, and a kiddie train ride for those seeking family-friendly fun.

If you want to kick it up a notch, you can also find an electric chair photo booth (your reactions to the jolts are sure to provide memorable photos), or the unique "Buried Alive" experience. You'll be escorted into a wooden coffin to discover just what happens as you're ushered to your final resting place - an experience that most of us (hopefully) won't be able to endure consciously.

Before you leave, make sure to visit the Bloodmore Manor haunted house. This is an approximately 10-15 minute walk-through, and each party can enjoy the experience on their own, which is both appreciated, and at times - unnerving. The house is subtle enough to be considerable for younger guests, or those not too keen on extreme scares, but there are also a few good surprises that will make it enjoyable for more mature visitors as well. Bloodmore Manor features some elements that are very cleverly done, and portions of the house weave through an outdoor inclusion. Make sure to spend some time with the fortune teller!

Terror On the Lake is open nightly through October 31st. Operating hours are 7:00-9:00PM (10:30PM on Fridays and Saturdays). Tickets are available for each individually priced experience, or in combo packs. Family packages are available as well. A family of four can opt for the Buried Alive experience and Bloodmore Manor for $56. Find more information about Terror On the Lake online. Tickets may be purchased on-site, or through the website, in advance.
