Southern Women’s Show Announces Celebrity Guests

Orlando, FL August 24 2017 – Mark your calendar for the once-a-year and much anticipated Southern Women’s Show, October 12-15, 2017. Returning for its 27th annual event, the show features an exciting 4 days of one-of-a-kind shopping, fashion shows, cooking demonstrations, health screenings, DIY workshops, makeovers and so much more!
The Southern Women’s Show secured two celebrities for this year! Olympic Gymnast and silver and gold medalist in Rio, Laurie Hernandez will kickoff the retail and action-packed extravaganza on opening day. Fans have nicknamed the energetic 16-year-old as the “human emoji” for her outgoing facial expressions and for her grace and artistry on the balance beam. In addition to being an Olympic athlete, Laurie also won the “Mirror Ball” on Dancing with the Stars last Fall.  She has now authored a best seller, I Got This: To Gold and Beyond, telling her story about growing up with the dream of becoming an Olympian and what it took to win gold. Fans will have a chance to meet Laurie at the SWS on Thursday, October 12, 2017 on the Fashion & Entertainment Stage.

To wrap up the show, New York Times Best Selling Cookbook Author and Singer, Patti LaBelle will be on the Cooking Stage on Sunday, October 15, 2017. Patti LaBelle may be known for her classic rhythm and blues renditions, pop standards, and spiritual sonnets, but has also taken her tunes to the kitchen where she published five best-selling books, as well as a successful line of food products that features a variety of sauces, sweet potato pie and cakes.
The Southern Women’s Show takes place 10:00am – 7:00pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and 10:00am – 5:00pm on Sunday. General admission tickets to the Southern Women’s Show will be $12 for Adults, $10 for Seniors (55+), $6 for Youth (6-12), and free for children under six with a paying adult. Advanced tickets can be purchased at Walgreens starting September 12 at a discounted rate of $8 for Adults
