More than 20 Tiny Homes, Skoolies and Converted Vans are coming to St. Petersburg for the St. Pete Tiny Home Festival, presented by SPC, on April 7 and 8, 2018.

The festival, organized by LocalShops1 and Ivy Group Consultants, features the latest and greatest in tiny home living trends! In addition to the tiny structures, the festival brings a lineup of more than two dozen leading experts in the Tiny House movement. The event will also showcase local food trucks, mobile boutiques, artists and home-related businesses, plus free activities for children and more.

Tiny houses are homes typically sized under 500 square feet, and sometimes as small as 100 square feet, and can be on wheels, for mobility, or built on foundation. Tiny Houses are becoming more and more popular throughout the nation, thanks to their reduced cost and reduced carbon footprint.

The Tiny Homes coming to the St. Pete Festival include model homes by builders such as Tampa Bay Tiny Homes, as well as custom-built homes that are owner-occupied, including Tiffany the Tiny Home, the 1920s craftsman-style bungalow, complete with a stained glass window; Shorty’s Tiny Home, the beautifully appointed Victorian home; Biggie Bus, the bright green converted school bus; and “Brad,” the sticker van micro-home. St. Pete Eco-Village, a local non-profit focused on sustainable living practices, also is bringing two of its own Tinies. Altogether, more than 20 Tiny Structures are expected at the festival.

More than 5,000 people are expected at the St. Pete Tiny Home Festival, many traveling from throughout the state and even across the country.

General admission includes full access to the festival grounds, where guests will get to explore the Tiny Homes and speak directly with the homeowners and builders. Admission also includes access to SPC’s ballroom, which will feature presentations about zoning and building regulations, decluttering your home, living green and much more. Tickets are $15/day or $20/weekend, and available at tinyhomestpete.eventbrite.com. (Prices go up two weeks prior to the event).

The festival is presented by SPC and produced by LocalShops1 and Ivy Group Consultants with the support of our partners and sponsors, including St. Pete Eco-Village, Tampa Bay Tiny Homes, Historic Shed, Tiny House Advisor, AARP Tampa Bay, Creative Loafing and the Skyway Marina District.
