ORLANDO PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA INVITES CENTRAL FLORIDA ‘HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS’



Opera Orlando Youth Chorus and The Holiday Singers return for Central Florida’s favorite holiday concert.

(Thursday, November 1, Orlando, FL) – The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra brings the holiday spirit to Central Florida with two performances of Home for the Holidays on Saturday, November 24 at 2 p.m. & 8 p.m. at Bob Carr Theater. 

The Philharmonic’s annual tradition features Guest Conductor Albert George Schram, Opera Orlando Youth Chorus, and The Holiday Singers performing familiar favorites, and new holiday tunes that are sure to delight! 

The performances will also feature a new surprise guest this year – Santa Claus, himself, will be in the lobby before each performance ready to greet the entire family! The Philharmonic is partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida to host a holiday food drive, and persons attending the concerts are encouraged to bring shelf-stable food items to contribute. 

The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra is supported by United Arts of Central Florida, host of OrlandoAtPlay.com and UAArtsEd.com. Celebrating its 26th Season, the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra is led by Music Director Eric Jacobsen and comprised of accomplished musicians from around the world. The Philharmonic annually presents the FAIRWINDS Classics and Pops Series at Bob Carr Theater and its Focus Chamber Series at The Plaza Live. The mission of the Philharmonic is to enrich and inspire the diverse communities of Central Florida through the transformative power of live music, and it presents more than 170 live concerts and impacts more than 70,000 children, youth and families annually through its Young People’s Concerts, Symphony Storytime Series, Notes in Your Neighborhood program, and free outdoor community concerts.
