First Look - Icebar Orlando's HOT New Menu Items

Last month, we shared a hot new update about the coolest place in town, via our sister site, ReadyExplorer... now, we're giving you a firsthand look at the new menu items coming to Icebar's Fire Lounge!

From birthdays to MegaCon after-parties... we love any opportunity to chill out at Icebar! Even with many visits under our belts, we haven't yet indulged in the food menu. The Fire Lounge area of the Icebar has been serving up food items since 2015, and after getting my taste buds on a sampling of the latest menu additions, I'm deeply regretting five years of missed opportunity!

For a closer look at the new food and drink items, see the photo cards below. Click each image to view full-size, and read about each. Our reactions are below the photo set.

  • BBQ Chicken Flatbread - What a perfect balance of all the represented flavors! Sweet, spicy, and tangy all at the same time - the trifecta of flatbread fabulous! The jalapeno ranch sauce is impeccable, and should absolutely grace the top of just about anything.
  • Fig & Goat Cheese Flatbread - Confession time... I've never had goat cheese! I've always been reluctant about it (not sure why), but I am so glad I tried this! The combination of the goat cheese and fig is brilliant, and such a unique flavor. This was probably my personal favorite
  • Street Tacos - The one thing I didn't personally try was the shrimp taco. I have that pesky little seafood aversion that just wouldn't let me go there. Fortunately Gino has no such aversion, so he comes in handy for fair representation! I went into this totally expecting to favor the chimichurri myself. We were both pretty surprised by our favorites. Gino really (really) raved about the shimp taco while I went go go over the bahn mi taco with Vietnamese marinated chicken.
  • Caprese Flatbread - While it seems ultimately simplistic, this dish was fabulous. These flatbreads overall were as pretty as they were delectable, with a flawlessly crispy crust. You just cannot make flatbreads this good... believe me, I've tried. The exceptional quality of the ingredients is without question.
  • Meatball Sliders - While I can't say we didn't like these, they were our least favorite items on the list. (That's still a wildly positive statement!!) Just like a burger-esque slider, but the meat is softer - almost a melt-in-your-mouth consistency. I am a big sauce lover, and would've liked more of that - but I also realize this would defeat the purpose of the convenience of the item and its handy, grab-and-go nature.
  • Ice Queen - A potent drink without that "ginny" overwhelm. This is a great choice if your like fruity drinks with a kick. Gotta love the rock candy swizzle stick!
  • Bourbon Street - Gino was a big fan of this one as it is a twist on his favorite - the old fashioned. Nice touches if you're a fan of the traditional bourbon concoction.
  • Toasted Coconut Martini - No words could do this justice! I could (dangerously) throw these back all night long. What a fabulous dessert drink!
  • Pear Moscow Mule - The pear really adds a nice flavor to tone down the boozy taste of the mule. Another classic that has leveled-up at Icebar!
  • Zesty Spritzer - Traditional, simple, classy, bubbly... can't go wrong here!

While you're visiting, don't forget to pop in to the world’s largest permanent ice bar, with over 70 tons of hand-carved ice! While we were enjoying the evening's event, we were also informed that they'll be re-theming the ice bar soon. We'll be sure to keep you up to date on that as well. The ice bar is genuinely a one-of-a-kind experience with great photo ops, lux faux fur fashion, fun drinks, and close-ish quarters that help to make everyone in the bar delightfully chummy in short order. LOVE IT! This is our favorite place to take visiting friends and family, and I have yet to see anyone leaving less than impressed. By the way... don't forget to try the shot ski!
