Come To The Rescue For Dogs, Cats And Pet Owners In The Community On Pet Alliance Of Greater Orlando “Giving Day” On Tuesday, September 29

All Donations Made During the All-Day Fundraiser Will Be Matched Dollar For Dollar Up to $150,000 by The Sherry Chappell Cooper Foundation

Orlando, FL (September 16, 2020) – Central Florida’s go-to pet experts Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando are continuing to work hard to ensure that all the animals in their care are healthy, safe and have the opportunity to find their furever homes, and now the whole community can come to the rescue too in the special “Giving Day” fundraiser on Tuesday, September 29.  All donations made that day will go directly to Pet Alliance’s rescue, rehab, rehome and re-stock pet pantry efforts for the dogs, cats and pet owners who need it most.  Donations will also be matched dollar for dollar (up to $150,000) by the Sherry Chappell Cooper Foundation, which honors the life and legacy of animal advocate Sherry Chappell Cooper.  Giving Day will feature fun content, including puppy and kitty cams, local celebrity spotlights and more, all with the mission to raise funds so Pet Alliance has the resources it needs to care for thousands of dogs and cats and continue advocating for homeless pets in the community.  Donate at:

“This year has been a challenging year for so many people in so many ways,” says Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando Executive Director Stephen Bardy.  “Our number one priority has always been to ensure that all the animals in our care are healthy, safe and have the opportunity to find their furever home, and the donations made from Giving Day will be instrumental in allowing us to continue to work hard in doing just that.  With the extremely generous matching gift from the Sherry Chappell Cooper Foundation, all donations will go twice as far - providing shelter, care and second chances for thousands of pets in the Greater Orlando area.  We thank everyone in advance for all of their wonderful support.”

About Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando

Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando was founded in 1937 as the Orlando Humane Society.  Since then, the organization has worked hard to provide positive and safe outcomes for pets.  Today, Pet Alliance has a dedicated focus on the welfare and well-being of dogs and cats in Orange, Seminole and Osceola Counties.  As the “go to” experts in Greater Orlando, they do good things for dogs and cats and the people who love them.  Their goal is to provide compassionate and knowledgeable services for pets and to be leaders in innovative animal care and veterinary medicine.  Nearly 7,000 surrendered pets and homeless animals turn to the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando for caring, compassion and hope through their shelters each year.  Pet Alliance provides food, medical care and shelter for dogs and cats until they find their new homes.  In addition to providing housing and care, Pet Alliance works to develop progressive and innovative programs that help keep pets and people together.  Pet Alliance also provides low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and animal wellness through their public veterinary clinics.  Their shelter programs are supported entirely by donations from the community they serve.  Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando has two pet adoption centers (Orlando and Sanford) and three veterinary clinics (Orlando, Sanford and Alafaya).  More information at
