Daytona Lagoon Announces Last Dive-In Movie Night for Summer 2018

Final Event Features “The Avenger: Infinity Wars” over Labor Day Weekend

WHAT:                        Daytona Lagoon will show “The Avengers: Infinity Wars” for its last Dive-In Movie Night of Summer 2018. Families and individuals can relax in the wave pool or on the beach while taking in the latest Avengers movie on the water park’s giant, outdoor movie screen. There will be plenty of movie-themed activities, plus food and drinks specials the whole family can enjoy.

                                    Also, NEW for this event, Daytona Lagoon is encouraging all Dive-In Movie Night attendees to come dressed as their favorite super hero character to participate in a fun social media contest. The winner will receive a free, birthday party room package. Winners can hold their next birthday (or child’s birthday) in one of Daytona Lagoon newly renovated birthday rooms for free!*

Daytona Lagoon “Christmas in July” Promotion to Benefit Local Children

For every ticket purchased, Daytona Lagoon will donate one ticket to a child in need

Daytona Beach, Fla. (July XX, 2018) – Daytona Lagoon, Florida’s premier “Family Fun, Family Priced” water park and entertainment center in Daytona Beach, announced a new mission for its upcoming “Christmas in July Splash Sale.” From July 25 through July 27, customers can purchase a daily water park ticket and/or one-hour entertainment center wristbands for a discounted rate of $12 each. For every ticket purchased during that time frame, Daytona Lagoon will match it and donate a free water park ticket to a child in need. Daytona Lagoon is working with local nonprofit children’s organizations to distribute free water park tickets to underserviced youth in the Volusia County area.

FLORIDA - Daytona Lagoon, Volusia Flagler Family YMCA and Urban Surf 4 Kids Unite to Bring Swim Safety Awareness to Local Community

Local Organizations take part in global World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ Event

Daytona Beach, June 21, 2018 – Today, tens of thousands of kids and adults at aquatic facilities around the world united for the ninth annual World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ (WLSL) to raise awareness for swim safety. In Daytona Beach, Daytona Lagoon, Urban Surf and the Volusia Flagler Family YMCA teamed up to host the global event and bring critical swimming lessons to 50 underserviced kids in the local community.

The Volusia Flagler Family YMCA taught a free, 30-minute swim lesson to the kids, ages 5 to 15 in Daytona Lagoon’s wave pool. Urban Surf 4 Kids followed the swim lesson with an exciting surfing demonstration.

“Daytona Lagoon is honored to partner with the Volusia Flagler Family YMCA and Urban Surf 4 Kids to bring the World’s Largest Swim Lesson’s critical swim safety message to our local community,” said Tyler Currie, General Manager for Daytona Lagoon. “Drowning is a preventable tragedy and we must all work together to ensure every child and parent has access to lifesaving water safety resources.”

Daytona Lagoon to Celebrate Summer with All-New Dive-In Movie Night Series

Kick-Off Event to Feature “Finding Dory”

WHAT:                                  On June 3, Daytona Lagoon will launch its Summer Dive-in Movie Night Series with the Memorial Day Weekend premier of Pixar’s “Finding Dory.” Every other Sunday evening, families can enjoy a unique movie experience by relaxing in the wave pool or on the beach while taking in a movie on Daytona Lagoon’s giant, outdoor movie screen. There will be movie-themed trivia, face painting, prize giveaways, plus food and drink deals the whole family will enjoy, such as $1 popcorn, $1 kids’ snow cones and even adult drink specials, too!

WHEN:                                 The first Dive-in Movie night takes place Sunday, June 3, 2018. Dive-in movies will happen every other Sunday between June 3 and Sept. 2. All movies will start at sundown. See below for a Dive-in Movie schedule:*

  • June 10: Frozen
  • June 24: Moana
  • July 8: Lego Batman
  • July 22: Coco
  • Aug. 5: Despicable Me 3

HOW:                   Families already enjoying Daytona Lagoon for the day can stay later for the movie at no additional cost. Current season pass holders receive free admission to Dive-In Movies. Non-season pass holders can pay a special price of $15.99 per person after 3 p.m., enjoy the park for the afternoon then stay to watch the film.
