SPAFFORD To Play HOUSE OF BLUES With UMPHREY'S MCGEE On AUG. 16

"Spafford has been quickly building a following over the past couple of years thanks to the group’s penchant for improvised, genre-defying live jams [and] offbeat covers..." - Washington Post

Arizona's resident live band,  Spafford, will be in Orlando, FL on Thursday, August 16th for a performance with Umphrey's McGee at House of Blues. The quartet, hailing from Pheonix, AZ, are quickly evolving the concept of what a "jam band" is; rather than improvising on top of (and in-and-out of) songs, Spafford chart into territory where much of what they do on stage is fully improvised.

The best-recorded example of this is Abaculus: An Improvisation Experience, which is an hour-long fully-improvised recording that came out of an impromptu jam session during a rehearsal last fall. Please find a stream to the Huffington Post dubbed "Industry Game Changer" here: http://bit.ly/2D5Qwiq. Their highly anticipated sophomore studio LP,  For Amusement Only, is out now.

REVIEW: Corey Smith at House of Blues

Corey Smith burst onto the country music scene in 2003 with Undertones. Thirteen years later, he's touring in support of his tenth album, While The Gettin' Is Good. On December 30, the Georgia native made his way to House of Blues at Disney Springs - a regular stop on his tour route. The performance was a fantastic representation of Smith's extensive career and overall diversity of influence.
