Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens to host its third-annual Plant Swap

SANFORD, Fla., April 1, 2019The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens will be partnering with Orlando Permaculture to kick off National Garden Month with its third-annual Plant Swap on Saturday, April 6. The Zoo is inviting residents of the Central Florida community to bring or swap a non-invasive plant. In exchange, each adult participant will receive one ticket for single-day admission to the Zoo. (Limit one per adult. Tickets valid through December 31, 2019.)

“We are excited to partner with Orlando Permaculture to offer this event for our community. As a botanical garden and conservation resource, it is important that we educate people about protecting our environment,” says Dino Ferri, CEO of the Zoo. “With all the construction across Central Florida, we are losing a lot of green space. Many people don’t realize caring for plants at home can actually provide opportunities for them to reduce their carbon footprint."

WHAT’S NEW FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2019 IN CENTRAL FLORIDA

ORLANDO NORTH, SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (March 7, 2019) – Repeat visitors to the Central Florida theme parks and beaches seek out new activities, lodging and dining spots to keep things fresh for the kids and themselves.  In Orlando North, Seminole County (midway between the two tourist corridors) has lots new to entice travelers to try something new, quirky and to look forward to in the future.   Here’s just a sampling:

Opened in Sanford is ALTITUDE, a huge -- as in over 30,000 square feet-- indoor trampoline park. It’s the perfect place to have your kids jump off their energy and let them explore new activities (and stunts), as in jumping off a diving board or trapeze swing into a big pool of colorful foam cubes or playing Wipeout as the padded arms of the spinning wheel try to knock them and their friends over. Altitude Trampoline Park, 1810 Rinehart Road, Sanford, Florida 32771.
