DEATH VALLEY, Calif. – May The Fourth – March 18, 2019  When families and people watch the 1977 movie Star Wars is at The Oasis at Death Valley, it starts inevitable tales of when the movie’s director came to this true American Oasis in 3.3 million square miles of desert, oasis and mountain national park to film and transport people to another galaxy.

Past generations of employees have shared stories with newer generations and certainly know where the movie locations are. These include the breathtakingly and picturesque locations throughout Death Valley National Park including Dante's View, Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, Desolations Canyon, Artist's Drive and Golden Canyon – all just a quick 20 to 40 minute drive from the Resort.

LEGOLAND® Florida Resort Set to Unveil Massive LEGO® Star Wars™: The Force Awakens MINILAND Model Display

New Display Will Be the Centerpiece of the Popular Event
LEGO® Star Wars™ Days May 5-6, 12–13 & 19-20

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (May 1, 2018) — On May 4, LEGO® Star Wars™: The Force Awakens MINILAND Model Display will take its final landing place in the center of LEGOLAND® Florida Resort’s  outdoor LEGO display area of the theme park. Created by a team of Master Model Builders, the giant display will feature memorable moments from Episode VII of the popular Star Wars™ saga enhanced with lights, sound effects and animation. The model addition includes the 16-foot-long Star Destroyer Finalizer, made of more than 350,000 LEGO bricks.

LAS VEGAS, April 9, 2018 - The VOID, the global leader of a new category of immersive location based experiences, has teamed up with ILMxLAB to create Star Wars™: Secrets of the Empire – a first-of-its-kind location based multi-sensory interactive adventure in a galaxy far, far away. Using state-of-the-art VR technology, The VOID will transport guests deep into the Star Wars universe where they can walk freely untethered, see, touch and interact with the environment. Participants will feel the turbulence of the skiff below their feet, withstand the impact of blaster bolts, and smell the smoke as they approach the fiery planet Mustafar.

Star Wars fans, travelers and locals alike will now have the chance to live out their fantasy at the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27.

LEGO® Star Wars™ MINILAND Display Inspired by ‘Star Wars – Episode VII: The Force Awakens’ Coming to LEGOLAND® Florida Resort in 2018

(May 4, 2017) — As fans throughout the galaxy celebrate the Star Wars™ saga today, LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is announcing an exciting new addition coming to its LEGO® Star Wars™ MINILAND area in 2018 – an all-new LEGO display inspired by the worldwide blockbuster “Star Wars – Episode VII: The Force Awakens.”

LEGO® Star Wars™: The Force Awakens MINILAND Model Display will feature several scenes re-created with thousands of LEGO bricks, including memorable movie moments with Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo Ren and BB-8, enhanced with lights, sound effects and animation. More details about this 2018 expansion project will be shared in the coming months.

Authorized by Lucasfilm, this year’s event will double the fun on two weekends – from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14.
