DETAILS REVEALED FOR NEW YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATIONS AT UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT


ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 9, 2018) – Universal Orlando Resort today revealed details about New Year’s Eve festivities across the destination, offering many opportunities for guests to find their ideal celebration.

The ultimate New Year’s Eve upscale party for guests 21 and up, EVE at Universal CityWalk is a separately ticketed event that includes an unlimited selection of gourmet dishes, access to six CityWalk clubs with live bands and DJs, featuring DJ M-Squared on Orlando’s largest outdoor dance floor, plus a Champagne toast at midnight underneath a magnificent display of confetti bursts and pyrotechnics.

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 25, 2018) – Things turned upside down when cast from Netflix’s “Stranger Things” took a terrifying spin through the “Stranger Things” maze at Universal Studios’ “Halloween Horror Nights coming face-to-face with the show’s most iconic scenes and life-sized predatory Demogorgon.

Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield) and Priah Ferguson (Erica Sinclair) visited Universal Studios Hollywood to attend the event’s red carpet premiere, surprise fans and step into the Upside Down to experience the all-new “Stranger Things” maze.

Their reactions were priceless. Collectively the group was in awe, characterizing the maze as an exact replica of the show and referencing their close call with the Demogorgon as “freaking awesome,” “really great” and “so scary.”  Video of the cast experiencing the maze can be seen here.
“Halloween Horror Nights” continues on select nights through November 3 in Hollywood and Orlando, and on select nights through October 31 in Singapore.

With a total of 36 record-breaking nights through November 3, Halloween Horror Nights 2018 will be the most intense event in history. (Sept. 12, 2018) – This year, “Halloween Horror Nights” brings a taste of Hawkins, Indiana to Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort inviting guests to enjoy foods inspired by Netflix’s “Stranger Things” that also complement the terrifying “Stranger Things” mazes debuting at both parks. “Halloween Horror Nights” begins on Friday, September 14, 2018.

The specialized foods were created by the executive chef and culinary teams at each park to further enhance the already immersive “Halloween Horror Nights” experience.

Here’s what guests can expect to feast on during “Halloween Horror Nights” at Universal Studios Hollywood
  • Benny’s Burgers: This classic, aptly named after the show’s family-owned diner, features a juicy beef burger served on a potato roll and a side of Tater Tots®.
  • The Upside Down Burger: served “upside down,” this signature burger features spicy queso and Flamin’ Hot® Cheetos® served on a potato roll with lettuce, tomatoes, and a side of Tater Tots.
  • Benny’s Chicken & Waffle Sandwich: Drizzled with sage-maple aioli and topped with sweet and sour onions, lettuce and tomatoes, this grilled chicken sandwich is served on iconic Kellogg’s® Eggo® waffles with a side of Tater Tots.
  • Demogorgon’s Totcho: A twist on the classic nacho, this dangerously delicious snack piles up Tater Tots, doused in spicy queso, chili, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, sour cream and scallions.
  • Eleven’s Waffle Extravaganza: Inspired by the lead protagonist’s favorite food, this tasty treat mixes Reese’s Pieces, jelly beans, chocolate chips and whipped cream stacked high on three Kellogg’s Eggo waffles.

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT REVEALS NEW DATES AND HEADLINING ACTS FOR ROCK THE UNIVERSE 2019


Florida’s Biggest Christian Music Festival Returns to 
Universal Studios Florida in February 2019

ORLANDO, Fla. – Rock the Universe 2019 will feature the same great content – with better dates.  The event, which is popular with youth groups, will take place on Feb. 1 and Feb. 2 – well after the start of school in most cities – allowing guests to enjoy a faith-filled weekend of live music, worship and theme park thrills.

Next year’s event will feature performances by GRAMMY-nominated Christian rock band, Skillet, GRAMMY award-winning hip-hop artist, Lecrae, chart-topping artists of Bethel Music, Dove Award-winner, Matthew West and more. The full talent lineup will be revealed soon.

Rock the Universe guests will also enjoy autograph sessions with the genre’s top artists and access to the FanZone presented by Coca-Cola, which features more live performances by up-and-coming acts. A candle-lighting ceremony Saturday night and service Sunday morning offer opportunities for worship. Admission to Rock the Universe includes access to some of Universal Studios Florida’s most thrilling attractions.

Universal Orlando Resort has added two event dates to Halloween Horror Nights 2018 due to popular demand – giving guests more chances to brave the most intense event in history, featuring more haunted houses than ever before. The added dates – Wednesday, September 19 and Wednesday, September 26 – make this year’s event the longest in history with a total of 36 nights.
Universal also revealed details about the final haunted house that will be featured at Halloween Horror Nights 2018 - ScaryTales: Deadly Ever After.

The twisted minds of Universal Orlando’s Entertainment team are bringing back a fan-favorite with a whole new twist in ScaryTales: Deadly Ever After.  Guests will encounter The Wicked Witch of the West, who has seized control of the fairytale realm and is tormenting treasured storybook characters in hideous and cruel alternate storylines. As guests venture through this nightmarish bedtime story, they’ll see familiar characters now turned evil including Hansel and Gretel salivating for human flesh, a splattered Humpty Dumpty and more.

Based on the fourth installment in the classic slasher series created by John Carpenter, the mazes will transport guests to the suburban town of Haddonfield, Illinois on Halloween night where Myers has escaped Smith’s Grove Sanitarium and is hungry for revenge. This time, he relentlessly stalks his niece Jamie as his next victim, stopping at nothing to kill her.

Directed by Tobe Hooper and produced by Steven Spielberg, Poltergeist garnered critical and consumer success when it first premiered in 1982. Characterized as one of the scariest films of all time, this groundbreaking movie paved the way for a new era of supernatural ghost stories that will come to life for the first time ever at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. This living representation of the film will take guests into some of its most iconic scenes and encounter memorable characters that spawned their first true nightmares.

CARNIVAL GRAVEYARD: RUST IN PIECES REVEALED AS THE NEXT ORIGINAL HAUNTED HOUSE COME TO UNIVERSAL ORLANDO’S HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS


Today, Universal Orlando Resort revealed an all-new original content haunted house coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2018 – Carnival Graveyard: Rust in Pieces.

As guests trespass into a dilapidated carnival, they will find a maze of decayed rides and games – and soon discover they are not alone. Horrifying guard dogs, a grotesque ‘tunnel of love’, gleefully vicious performers loaded with deadly weapons fabricated from old rides and more will stalk guests’ every move as they try their best to escape.

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO’S CINEMATIC CELEBRATION IS NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN AT UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT

Universal Orlando Resort’s all-new nighttime lagoon show – Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration – officially opens tonight at Universal Studios Florida. Guests now have a brand-new way to cap off their day in Universal Studios as they enjoy an “epic cinema under the stars” in the heart of the theme park.

The show seamlessly blends panoramic water screens accented by multi-layer water screens, pyrotechnics, lasers, projection mapping and more than 120 dancing fountains to transform the lagoon and surrounding buildings into a vivid celebration of beloved characters from Universal attractions and some of the world’s biggest films. And guests will watch it all come to life in an all-new dedicated viewing area designed specifically for the show.

Guests will witness moments from the Harry Potter film series conjured by way of spells, terrifying roars from Jurassic World dinosaurs, high-octane action from the Fast & Furious films, mischief by the Minions from Illumination’s Despicable Me and more come to life each night in the heart of the Universal Studios lagoon.

ORLANDO, Fla. (June 28, 2018) – Two horror icons originating in the 1980s – Chucky and Killer Klowns from Outer Space – will come to life as terrifying scare zones at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights.

In the Revenge of Chucky scare zone, one of the most frightening icons in horror history, Chucky from Universal 1440 Entertainment’s film series, is back to create chaos in the streets of Universal Studios. Guests will enter a toy fair turned lethal, filled with diabolical twists on childhood toys from the past. (May 16, 2018) – Beginning September 14, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood will bring Legendary Pictures’ cult Halloween classic Trick ‘r Treat to life in all-new Halloween Horror Nights mazes that dare guests to live by the rules or suffer the consequences. 

Based on the critically-acclaimed and fan-favorite movie, directed by Michael Dougherty, the “Trick ‘r Treat” maze will transport guests to Warren Valley, Ohio on Halloween night to celebrate the holiday’s dark traditions. Recreating some of the anthology’s most iconic scenes, the disturbing new maze invites brave thrill-seekers to become entwined within the secrets of this sleepy suburban town.
