Owen has had six No. 1 singles to date: the two-time Platinum anthem, “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” Platinum-certified hits, “Beachin’,” “Anywhere with You,” “Alone with You” and “The One That Got Away,” in addition to the Gold-certified “American Country Love Song.” The RCA Nashville recording artist recently released his fifth studio album, “American Love,” which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album was produced by award-winning songwriters/producers Shane McAnally and Ross Copperman. Owen co-produced three tracks, which marks his first time as a co-producer with Lukas Bracewell. The Vero Beach, Florida native is well-known for his high-energy performances and laid-back style.

Bill Burr is one of the top comedic voices of his generation, achieving success in television and film, as well as the live stage. He sells out theaters internationally, and his Monday Morning Podcast is one of the most downloaded comedy podcasts on iTunes. The second season of his hit animated Netflix series, “F is for Family,” premiered on May 30, 2017, featuring Burr, Laura Dern and Justin Long as the Murphy family. Bill was seen in the Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell film, “Daddy’s Home,” co-starred opposite Kevin Costner in the indie film, “Black or White,” appeared in the Paul Feig film, “The Heat” alongside Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, as well as the Al Pacino/Christopher Walken film, “Stand Up Guys.” Burr received raves for his recurring role as “Kuby” on the hit AMC-TV show, “Breaking Bad.” On December 5, 2014, he premiered his fourth hour-long comedy special, “I’m Sorry You Feel That Way” on Netflix, and on September 30, 2014, he released the vinyl album, “Live at Andrew’s House,” a recording of his 2011 Carnegie Hall performance.

Noah debuted his 9th new comedy special, “Afraid of the Dark” in February of this year on Netflix. The special was shot before a packed house in New York City at the Beacon Theatre on November 5, 2016. Last year, Noah debuted his one-hour stand-up special, “Trevor Noah: Lost in Translation,” on Comedy Central. He was the subject of David Paul Meyer’s award-winning documentary film, “You Laugh, But It’s True,” which tells the story of his remarkable career in post-apartheid South Africa. His Showtime comedy special, “Trevor Noah: African American,” premiered in 2013. He was nominated for “Personality of the Year” at the 2014 and 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards and won the award in 2015. Trevor’s success has also spanned to sold-out shows over 5 continents.

All-New Sounds of the Season Concert Series joins Christmas at Gaylord Palms Lineup!

Holiday concerts during December will feature local performance groups inside the resort’s signature atrium.

ORLANDO PERFORMANCES OF DISNEY ON ICE PRESENTS DARE TO DREAM AT AMWAY CENTER RESCHEDULED FOR MAY 11-13, 2018


ORLANDO, FLORIDA [October 10, 2017] – All performances of Disney On Ice presents Dare To Dream originally scheduled for September 8-10 at Amway Center and postponed due to Hurricane Irma, have been rescheduled for Friday, May 11 through Sunday, May 13, 2018. Tickets purchased for the September dates will be honored in May for the exact same day of the week and show time. Customers simply hold onto their tickets for the new dates and times. Good seats are still available.

DR. PHILLIPS CENTER ANNOUNCES FORMATION OF PREMIERE PERFORMANCE GROUP “DOCS AND DELLAS”


October 5, 2017  Orlando, FL – Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts announces the formation of a new educational initiative: the formation of a premiere performance group  entitled  Docs and Dellas. The performing troupe is comprised of an exceptional group of 12- to 19-year olds, representing Dr. Phillips Center on the stages within the arts center, and also throughout the Central Florida community. The group is named for Dr. Phillip Phillips and his wife, Della, who were committed to the arts in Central Florida.

Under the direction of Dr. Phillips Center’s Dana Brazil, senior director of education, and the musical direction of Tim Hanes, they perfect their performance skills in acting, singing and dancing throughout the season, performing at events, gatherings, meetings, conventions, parties or the like.

Maeve Gilchrist and Nic Gareiss Kick Off The Orlando Philharmonic’s Women In Song Series At The Plaza Live

Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra Announces Young People’s Concerts To Reach One Millionth Student During 25th Anniversary Season

Public performances begin Wednesday, October 4 and run
through Wednesday, November 8


(Friday, September 29, Orlando, Fla.) – The Young People’s Concerts (YPCs), presented by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and sponsored by Walt Disney World Resorts, will celebrate the one millionth student who has seen a Young People’s Concert at the Bob Carr Theater during its 25thAnniversary Season. 

Presented to more than 70,000 students annually through 33 total concerts, the Young People’s Concerts include performances for 3-5th grade students in Orange County Public Schools; 5th Grade Students from Osceola County at the Osceola County School for the Arts; 5th grade students from Volusia County School Districts, and more than 6,000 students from local public, private, and homeschool groups.

Accompanying Browne on tour is renowned multi-instrumentalist Greg Leisz.

Browne has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music and has defined a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2007.

His debut album came out on David Geffen’s Asylum Records in 1972. Since then, he has released fourteen studio albums and four collections of live performances. His most recent studio album, “Standing in the Breach,” is a collection of ten songs, as turns deeply personal and political, exploring love, hope and defiance in the face of the advancing uncertainties of modern life.

Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra Opens 25th Anniversary Season with Two Performances of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9

(Tuesday, September 19, Orlando, Fla.) – The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra kicks off its 25th Anniversary Season, marking a pivotal moment in the organization’s history with the 25th Anniversary Season Opening Weekend: Beethoven’s Ninth on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 8 p.m. andSunday, October 1 at 2 p.m. at Bob Carr Theater, located at 401 W. Livingston St.

Music Director Eric Jacobsen leads the Philharmonic in this program, which includes Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D minor “Chorale.” One of Beethoven’s best-known works in all classical music, the piece is known for its idea of the “brotherhood of man” and is the great composer’s final complete symphony.

DISNEY MUSICALS IN SCHOOLS PROGRAM CONTINUES AT DR. PHILLIPS CENTER; LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS SELECTED FOR 2018 PARTICIPATION


August 24, 2017 – Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts announces the four local area elementary schools that have been selected to participate in the Disney Musicals in Schools program, now in its second year locally. New participants for the 2017 – 2018 school year are Kaley Lake Como Elementary (Orange County), OCPS Academic Center for Excellence (Orange County), Pleasant Hill Elementary (Osceola County) and Wicklow Elementary (Seminole County). Returning from last academic year for their second year in the three-year program are Bonneville Elementary (Orange County), Winegard Elementary (Orange County), Lake Orienta Elementary (Seminole County) and Kissimmee Elementary (Osceola County). At an orientation event in December 2017, these schools will select a Disney musical of their choice from the “KIDS” licensing collection. The rehearsals will officially start in January 2018, culminating with performances the following May.
